At times of uncertainty and facing the unknown, this song has been my refuge. This song recounts Matthew 14: 22 – 33, where Peter was called to walk on water, faithfully walking and trusting despite fearful circumstances.

The lyrics “Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders, let me walk upon the waters wherever You would call me” reveal the true nature of our faith, where we trust and call upon Jesus for our rescue when we temporarily lose faith and sink in oceans deep.

Our faith will be made known through God’s grace. Oceans is by the Australian worship band Hillsong United. It garnered the award for Song of the Year at the 2014 Gospel Music Association's Dove Awards where Hillsong United took five additional honors, including Artist of the Year.
