God has left us with a wealth of knowledge in the Bible to help us. We’re created in his image so his life reflects many character traits we should seek to live out on a daily basis.

As you seek your purpose, understand that each day we live is a gift and ask how to make the most of your life by living by faith and not by sight. For us to live with a God-driven purpose, we must first put down the fleshly cares of this life to gain true life. Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Through scripture, there are several ways we can live a purpose-driven life.

You were created on purpose, for a purpose, and with a purpose.

Ephesians 2:10 says, “ We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” God has created you uniquely. God gives each of us at least one spiritual gift the moment we ask Jesus into our lives.

These spiritual gifts are meant to work together to help build the church and draw others to Jesus. We are part of one body — the church — and within the church, we all serve different functions.

Like the parts of a body, the church is most effective when working in unity. God distributes spiritual gifts according to His wisdom and graciousness.

Our role is to learn what gifts God has given us, then to be faithful and find ways to serve others with the gifts God has given us (1 Peter 4:10-11).

In addition to giving us spiritual gifts, God also places specific desires in our hearts. God has placed you where you are, and He calls you to serve where you are. What opportunities has God put in front of you to help those people? For the vast majority of Christians, God brings different burdens and opportunities in different seasons of life.

God is God and He works all things, including your life, according to his purposes.

Psalm 57:2 says, “I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me.” This is key in understanding God’s purpose for your life.

God has numbered your days and will fulfill every purpose He has for you. We can choose to do things that will bring us more joy and give us more of a sense of purpose. If you’re blatantly disobeying the Bible, you’re not living in God’s purpose and you will certainly experience a sense of aimlessness in your life.

The pursuit of joy in God is not optional.

Would you say that this kind of joy characterizes your life and work? If you desperately want a change but also feel totally stuck in your life, that’s almost certainly a sign that you’re not walking according to God’s purpose. If you don’t know God’s purpose for your life, you constantly feel a sense of aimlessness.

You can regain your sense of purpose and discover what God has for your life. If you feel purposeless, ask God to give you wisdom and direction.

While God has many purposes for us, there is only one purpose for which we have been created.

Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the end of the earth, everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made. “   ISAIAH 43:6B-7 ESV

Our purpose as human beings is simple: we were made to glorify God.
The word “glory” in this context means honor, splendor, and reputation. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

God created mankind in his own image. Everything we do should point to his splendor, honor, and great reputation.
Discovering Purpose Takes Time Alone With God. God wants to reveal things to you about your future.

God reveals things to you in your spirit. You’ve just got to get quiet to listen to your spirit. The key to discovering your divine destiny and purpose is simple: Realize God wants to speak to you about your future. God wants to show you His plans for your life. God speaks those truths to your spirit through that still small voice, through his word and through other members of the body of Christ.
