IT IS NEVER TOO LATE FOR YOU TO LIVE OUT YOUR CALLING

It is never too late for you to live out your calling. Maybe you're 105 and feel your energy levels and physical capabilities are limiting you, maybe you are young but you still feel your stage of life is past that of what it needs to be for the vision God had on your heart. Maybe a life event such as a divorce, death, or health issue made you lose hope. 

Whatever the reason you believe it's too late for you, God says that it's not. God says he appointed every day which means if you are still here he still has plans for you and they are not small plans by any means.

God has big things in store for you.

YOUR LIFE IS CREATED TO BE AS BIG AND SUPERNATURAL AS THE CHARACTERS IN SCRIPTURE

Your life is created to be as big and supernatural as the characters in scripture.  

Do you fully understand that biblical characters had no greater power than you? In fact, as we read about in many cases they had less because the 1st half of them lived before the Holy Spirit indwelt all believers.

In the Scriptures, James 5:17 says Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. James is making a point here that he wants us to notice “he was human” meaning with God the supernatural is possible for you too.

God often brings supernatural solutions to our everyday problems and that is why we can have hope no matter how bad it looks! When the army is coming and the red sea is in front of us, we don’t have to panic because we know our God is fully capable of parting it! 

THESE TRUTHS SHOULD CAUSE US TO PRAY MASSIVE PRAYERS

When we set our minds on things above, renew our minds on the truth of who we are, the power in us, and the greatness of our God, it should cause us to pray massive prayers... God-sized prayers. It should cause us to take steps of faith that are congruent with those truths.

“By faith, the walls of Jericho fell down after being marched around by the Israelites for seven days. By faith Rahab the prostitute welcomed the spies in peace and didn’t perish with those who disobeyed.

And what more can I say? Time is too short for me to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets, who by faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, quenched the raging of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, gained strength in weakness, became mighty in battle, and put foreign armies to flight.” - Hebrews 11:30

GOD DOES NOT MAKE USELESS WEAPONS

God does not make useless weapons. If you are still here it means God still wants you in the battle. 

What we choose to set our minds on changes our perspective on everything. 

Instead of setting our minds on our own human weakness, set your mind on the power of the God who lives in you and on the extraordinary plans that he has for you. 

If you are a thrill-seeker like me these truths about our identity and calling will pump you up. However, some of you might be thinking “I don't know about all these battle analogies that don't sound exciting that sounds scary, and like a lot of pressure.” 

I want to encourage you that the reason these truths are exciting and not scary is because of two promises that God has given us.

YOU ARE NOT FIGHTING FOR VICTORY BUT FROM IT

The first is that God says: “I've already given you the victory.” You are not fighting for victory but from it. The battle is his, he's already crushed satin's head, he's already done the hard part, you get to do the fun part!

The Spirit of the Lord is on me because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." - Luke 4:18

This is jubilee.

THE LORD WILL NEVER LEAVE US OR FORSAKE US 

The second promise is that God will be with you, just as He told Moses and Jeremiah "do not be afraid for I will go with you."

My single favorite promise is that

The Lord will never leave us or forsake us that he will be with us always even to the end of the age. 

Don't let the good news become the old news.

You have been adopted redeemed and accepted.

You have been and will always be eternally unconditionally loved.  

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.” - Philippians 4:8
